Hi Jerry,

We stopped at your showroom on May26, 2022 to meet you and have our EZ66 Guide for Travelers signed. It was a pleasure meeting you and hearing your stories. Your book has been a blessing to us as we travel Route 66 from Chicago to California. I continue to be the navigator as John drives down every bit of Route 66 that we can. I have written so many notes, circled everything that we have seen and thank you every day for this excellent guide book. May God continue to bless you and we thank you for all of the work that you put into your guide.

EB day 1, writing from Needles. Sad to report that there’s a closure sign at Kelbaker Rd just past the exit from 40 EB. Ditto from Mtn Springs Rd. Have to see Cadiz another time. The good news, had a nice chat with Ian at the Santa Monica Pier.

Hey Jerry, we've brought your Neon Indian home safe & sound after 7,034 miles on the road. Pasting a link to Ed McClanahan's obt - he passed away 6 months ago. I think, kin or not, you'd enjoy his writing, as a Merry Prankster.

Almost 3 years ago we made our plans which were cancelled twice due to the pandemic. Finally flying over from Scotland on the 30th of May to fullfill our dream road trip, East to West. Super excited to meet everyone along the way. Its been a long time coming!

We are planning our Route 66 trip from CA to IL for June 2022. Truck/travel trailer conveyance, 3 weeks to make the trip. We watched Trish and Marc (Keep Your Daydream) make their westbound trip referring to your EZ Guide, and busted out ours to read through before we take off. Can’t wait!

Hi Jerry, my wife and I drove Route 66 from 3-21 April 2022 using the EZ66 guide. As you say, it can appear quite daunting at first but as soon as you are on the road everything becomes much clearer. I wrote a blog of our travels if anyone is interested; www.chrisandsueroute66.wordpress.com

Hi Jerry, my husband and I along with our dog Jerry met you at the Wagon Wheel in Cuba, MO. We have made it to California thanks to your EZ guide. I did want to mention that we found a great motel in Seligman, AZ. The Aztec Motel has openedon the east side accross from Snow Cap. The owners are wonderful. Our room was like an Airbnb with a full kitche. There were outside and inside areas to gather with other visitors, a library and gameroom.
We have really enjoyed our trip, the EZ guide combined with the maps was perfect.

We're loading up for our dream Route 66 vacation in May 2022, after putting it off for over 2 years.
We'll be coming from Kansas in our SSR, and going as far West as Oakman, before heading North to Zion, Arches and the Canyonlands.

Hi Jerry, We drove Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica. We started in Chicago Nov 26 and arrived in Santa Monica on Dec 12. We had a few diversions in between (Sedona and Las Vegas, Grand Canyon and others). It was a fun trip. We found it best to use the EZ 66 Guide, along with Google maps. A few notes to pass on along the way. We did find the Singing Highway to still be functional. We missed it the first time but on the 2nd time found we had to stay about a foot off the white line on the side of the road and it worked as advertised. We found it started, at the point where a guard rail started on the right side of the road, and between mile markers 4 and 5. We stayed at the Blue Swallow motel in Tucumcari, NM. What a great motel and is in excellent condition, We had a great time talking to the new owners. They have been there about a year and a half or so. We did stay at the Route 66 Motel in Barstow, CA but I understand there are new owners there In the past year or two. We stayed two nights as we were seeing a couple of things in the area but I have to believe this motel has not been kept in good shape. It still has the old cars on the property but based on the room conditions and fact that there was no one at the counter the following morning I would be hard pressed to rate it a 2 out of 5. The owners do not live on the property. Overall it was a fun trip. A lot of decisions to be made along the way, as to what version of the Route to take. There are many choices along the way, and we made choices based on what there was to see along the various routes and the time frame we had to complete the drive. There are so many things to see along the way. Great book. Thanks for all the research contained.
