Jerry, I just returned from a 3 week trip traveling Route 66 with two other ladies. We all live in GA, we flew to Chicago and started the trip from there. We used your guide all the way and was very pleased with the tips and info you provided. We met several individuals along the way that were acquainted with you. Lady at the Sunset Motel gave us your room..LOL... Thanks for the EZ Guide. By the way...in Pontiac, IL. I drove on the original road for just a bit. That was the highlight of our trip.

Hi Jerry,
I am currently reading your guide, and very impressed with it. My wife and I, will be doing east to west Route 66. It's being a dream for many years! We would love to drop in on you, I'll send you an email closer to the time, beginning of August. I'm also setting up a web site: www.bucketlistroute66.com , have a look if you want. Looking forward to meeting you. Please let me know how we can buy T-shirts.

When it was time to decide our honeymoon trip we both agree: The Mother Road! We had a wonderful time. Your guide was an awesome companion. We met great people and had so much fun! This trip gave us stories to tell for a while. Thank you so much for writing the book and many thanks to all who dedicates to conserve the History of 66.

PS. Is it possible that one of the Giants cousins got lost and stands now next door to the Fruit Barn in Merced, CA? (take a look at the street view in google maps...Giant Alert!)

Jerry - really good to meet with you Mar 30'15. We've nopw reached San
Bernadino and tomorrow will complete our journey to Santa Monica. Your
EZ guide has been invaluable, informative and a real friend. Thank you.
May I also confirm that Mtn Springs Rd/Essex Rd triangle is still closed
(Map CA page 2) and Amboy is rached by Kelbaker Rd Exit 78 ( Map CA Page 6). This we covered today. Again our thanks for giving us a
really good guide to this great drive. Sincerely, Carole and Barry Topliss, Boston, UK.

Jerry,

Long time no see old friend! Our big 66 trip had to be put on hold for a while. We were supposed to travel only by car and no RV. Looking forward to staying at mom and pop motels and eating at old diners. Maybe someday. Take care. Earl Cory

I have your guidebook, and should have bought it before I drove my '28 Ford coupe from Santa Monica to Albuquerque. But at least I'll have it for the trip to Chicago next summer.
Do you still have the "Here It Is" state guides for New Mexico? want to drive all the available roadways that were Rt 66.
Also, what I learned on my 1400 mile trip from mid California, to Santa Monica, to ABQ, is that what is special on Rt 66 isn't the road, it's the people you meet when you are willing to slow down.
Thank you for your time. Rick
